Who We Are

William Turley, President

Founder and for nearly 30 years the Executive Director of the Construction & Demolition Recycling Association, a national trade association representing the recyclers of construction materials. The CDRA promotes recycling and reuse, and provides an information exchange on the practice of recycling concrete, asphalt, gypsum, wood, and asphalt shingles, among other related materials. Responsible for the implantation of strategic plans of the organization, lobbying, marketing, membership sales, and research efforts. 

Was Publisher and Editor of four different magazines covering the construction material recycling industry, as well as an Editor with Rock Products and Cement America magazines. 

Created and operated C&D World, the Annual Meeting of the CDRA, now in its 33nd year. Was responsible for content development, site selection, hotel contracts, booth and sponsorship sales, and promotion of the event. 

Created and operated the Shingle Recycling Forum, which recently was held for the 10th time.. Was responsible for content development, site selection, hotel contracts, booth and sponsorship sales, and promotion of the event. 

Created and organized the development and updating of several websites, including cdrecycling.org, concreterecycling.org, shinglerecycling.org, and gypsumrecycling.org.

Helped develop the Certification of Recycling Rates (CORR) program to help prevent sham recycling in the C&D industry. The program was created to ISO-level protocols and was necessary in response to fraud taking place under green building programs.
